Terms of service

grouphugs analytics is a YouTube analytics, reporting and packaging-testing dashboard provided as part of grouphugs' channel management services. It is available to grouphugs team members and to clients whose channels grouphugs manages. It is not a self-serve public product, and we may decline or end access for anyone who is not part of an engagement with us.

If you or your company has a signed service agreement with grouphugs, that agreement controls if it ever conflicts with these terms.

The app uses YouTube API Services to read your channel's data and, where you have engaged us to test packaging, to update video titles and thumbnails. By connecting a channel you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy, and our handling of it is described in our privacy policy.

Connecting a channel requires signing in with a Google account that owns or manages that channel. You must only connect channels you are authorized to connect. You can revoke the app's access at any time from your Google Account security settings, which immediately stops new data collection; stored data is deleted on request as described in the privacy policy.

When you engage grouphugs to run title or thumbnail tests, the app will change the tested video's title or thumbnail on YouTube for the duration of the test. Every change is recorded in an audit log, the original title and thumbnail are stored before the first change, and stopping a test restores the original. We only test videos on channels whose owners have engaged us to do so.

Do not attempt to access data for channels or clients that are not yours, probe or overload the service, or use it to violate YouTube's or Google's policies. We may suspend access that puts the service or its data at risk.

The service is provided as is. Analytics figures come from YouTube's APIs and can lag, be revised, or differ slightly from YouTube Studio; we work hard to present them accurately but cannot guarantee they are error-free, and test results are statistical estimates, not promises of channel performance.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, grouphugs is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Our total liability for claims relating to the app is limited to the amount the client paid grouphugs for the service in the three months before the claim arose.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, where grouphugs is based, without regard to conflict of law principles.

If these terms change in a meaningful way, we will update this page and notify connected clients by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
